This 23-year-old woman presented to my office to discuss breast reduction surgery. She reported experiencing neck and back pain related to the size and weight of her breasts, which also interfered with her ability to comfortably perform daily activities. Prior to surgery, she was 5'7", weighed 128 pounds, and wore a 32DDD bra. She underwent a breast reduction with liposuction of the axillary areas to improve breast shape and alleviate the physical discomfort associated with macromastia. During the procedure, 350 grams of breast tissue were removed from each breast, resulting in a lighter, more proportionate breast contour.
