This 28-year-old woman presented to my office to discuss breast reduction surgery. Prior to surgery, she weighed 172 pounds, stood 5'2", and wore a 38G bra. She reported a history of breastfeeding two children and experiencing symptoms related to the size and weight of her breasts, including rashes beneath the breasts and shoulder grooving from bra straps. She underwent a breast reduction with liposuction of the axillary areas to reduce fullness along the bra line and improve overall breast contour. During the procedure, 923 grams of breast tissue and skin were removed from each breast. Following surgery, she was very pleased with her decision to undergo breast reduction and experienced significant improvement in her symptoms and overall comfort.
